RAE - Revista de Administração de Empresas, 2002, vol. 42, issue 2
Abstract:
It is possible to affirm that changes are occurring in the pattern of Brazilian public policies, above all, in the sphere of local government. Such changes can be understood as part of aprocess of constructing new forms of public administration, verified from the innovative practices and rendered services for state and local governments in the country. With theobjective of discussing innovation through a public administrator’s perspective, a practical case, awarded by the Public Administration and Citizenship Program, in 1996, will be presented which exemplifies the occurrence of these changes.
