Abstract: As the \\"O\\" in HOK (Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum Inc.), Gyo Obata is not just the president and chief executive officer of one of the world's largest architectural firms. He is the philosophical leader of a staff of 925 architects, landscape architects, interior designers, engineers and planners in 12 offices across the country, Europe and Asia.
