Using Social Networks for Staff Recruiting

Abstract: This article presents a short analysis about how the social networks are used in the recruiting process in Romania. During the last two years the companies had to develop a new way to hire staff. One of the most accessible ways is using the internet. I wanted to see in which way the Romanian companies understand and use the internet, especially the social networks. Other studies showed that those tools, the social networks, are being used more and more by Romanians. The questionnaire was elaborated so I can extract from there useful information about the companies and their recruiting activity. It was a little difficult obtain answers to the questionnaire, but at the same time I found out that recruiting companies are interested in this kind of study. Many of the people who answered and work in this domain showed interest about the results of this study. Although it’s not an elaborated research, it can be used as a starting point for future researches in this field. The information that I could extract and analyze is important and shows a sketch of the internet consumption in the recruiting field in Romania.
