Abstract: Average retail prices of maize declined by 6 percent in March. Imports of newly harvested maize from Mozambique depressed retail prices in Southern and Central Malawi, while exports to Zambia and Tanzania propped up prices in Northern Malawi, reducing regional price differences in the country.
