Abstract:
This paper presents recent developments of the dynamic traffic simulation model METROPOLIS. This tool is based primarily on the modeling and analysis of information learning and processing by road users. This simulation tool depicts the morning peak commute in large urban areas. Route choice and departure time choice are both stochastic. A day-to-day adjustment process takes into account drivers' habits formation and information acquisition processes.
