Abstract:
Russia has been actively participating in the dispute settlement system handled by the WTO. As of the year-end of 2019, Russia had been involved in a total of 96 disputes: in 8 disputes as a complainant, in 9 disputes as a respondent, and in 79 disputes as a third party. In 2019, Russia became a party to 13 new trade disputes in the framework of the WTO: in one as a complainant, and in 12 – in the role of a third party. In 2019, two disputes that Russia was a main party to (DS493 (complainant), DS512 (respondent)) underwent their key stages – Russia won both these disputes over Ukraine.
