Abstract: The concept of decent work aims to offer individuals a better life. It is briefly defined as the work in which the conditions of freedom, equality, security, and dignity are ensured; and it emphasized that human dignity and productivity should be continuous. The concept of decent work is based on the idea that employees can be employed in better conditions, provide social protection, benefit from the basic rights in working life and all these can only be achieved through social dialogue. The concept of decent work is among the main objectives of the ILO. In a situation where working conditions are bad, social protection practices do not protect the employee sufficiently, and the working conditions of women are still worse than men and contain discriminatory practices, the existence of unhealthy jobs continues. On the other hand, the unemployment problem in the labor market, in general, have led to the emergence of the concept of decent work. It is not possible to speak about equality in a world where some people work for lower wages and in poor conditions in jobs that do not require qualification, and on the other hand others have much better working conditions. For this reason, the prerequisite for people to lead a dignified life is the creation of humane living conditions. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of the concept of decent work on the labor market. For this reason, an evaluation will be made in the light of some statistical data on the labor market.
