Abstract:
Austrian theory favors genetic-causal tradition). Humans are not like corks in the middle of the ocean. They are not driven by social forces or currents. They are the origin of what they do. What is important in the science of humankind is to explain how individuals interpret their experiences and learn. This approach is non-deterministic and procedural. It respects methodological subjectivism and has led to the development of Mises's theory of interest and the theory of the value of money.
