Abstract: The first satellite account of nonprofit institutions, following the UN Manual of NPIs in the SNA, was issued at INSEE, the French statistical office, in 2005. This article outlines firstly the methodology and then shows the main results of this satellite account. It also adds data on voluntary work and total resources of NPIs
