Post-Print from HAL
Abstract:
What effect does the nature of economic integration in Mercosur have on macroeconomic volatility of the countries? In order to answer this question, it is necessary to analyse the shifts/changes that have happened in the region since the 1960. Indeed, it is worth studying the main characteristics of each growth regime (average growth and volatility). Thus, the Mercosur countries' economic performance of each regime will be analysed. The article will focus the role played by the exchange rate regime during the 1991-2002 period.
