Abstract: That audiences are deserting movie theatres is not the fault of movies themselves, but rather that of how they get to the consumers. By making alliances with television networks and by diversifying profit sources, cinema is multiplying its chances of solving the problem, but isn't it taking the risk of sacrificing its status as art ?
