Abstract:
Scholars define collective skill from a static perspective as a set of resources that people can use. Base on the analysis of a conversation, the paper shows that these resources come from conversational activity; illustrates how people use them for collective action and concludes with some management implications. Our results demonstrate that the competency of these groups is as much the result of conversations operators (of autonomy) as the action of management in terms of recruitment - operators, middle managers and top managers- , procedures, or management tools available.
