Abstract:
Farm days are designed to be an innovative tool for the dissemination of the project outcomes among farmer's communities and other stakeholders. The poster describes and illustrates this concept of "farm days". Solibam partners are in charge of the organisation and implementation of Farm days in their country. These are organised each year, to enable breeders, farmers, adisors and researchers to share their skills, information, and knowledge. It also facilitates information flow among stakeholders. They are also often an opportunity 1) to involve participants in the discussion of plant breeding traits or in organoleptic tests 2) to illustrate field trials or participatory plant breeding. Farm days are also a way to communicate on the Solibam project, to distribute booklets and other dissemination tools. In addition, Farm days stand as a space for discussion of the project results and related topics with farmers.
