Abstract:
This methodological paper presents the economic foundations of value in the special case of environmental goods. Having differentiated concepts of "value" and "price", the authors present the main methods used in environmental economics to evaluate the price of environment. Despite some limits, the paper underlines the importance of such valuations for any decision maker who have to manage environment's goods
