Abstract: The presence of women on corporate boards of director has become a key organizational issue because of the impact these have on both business operations (issue on diversity) and the whole of society (circumvent the "glass ceiling"). This article analyzes the determinants of this representation in France, based on the companies belonging to the SBF 120 stock market. We build a probabilistic model, using a logistic regression. Our results confirm the relationship between firm size and the presence of women on corporate boards. However, this presence is independent from the type of ownership.
