Abstract:
This article highlights a discussion area engineering that helps develop well-being at work. By combining Design Thinking and Theory U (Sharmer, 2007), the notion of discussion area is envisaged as a creative problem-solving facility. Such areas allow employees to create the conditions to enhance well-being at work: stakeholders construct meaning together in their work, share emotional experiences from a regulatory perspective and deploy their power to act. The methodology is based on a cooperative intervention research conducted over two years with an SME in the automotive industry.
