Abstract: This article sets out "regulation school" contributions to the analysis of agrifood industry, discussing a book edited by Catherine Laurent and Christian du Tertre. Current political debate on agriculture and food calls for a renewed regulationnist research agenda on institutions that regulate agricultural and agrifood systems, taking into acount the evolution of territorial conditions of these activities. Such an agenda may also contribute to agrifood "foresight study" and to analysis of food chains or local agrifood systems.
