Abstract: This paper analyses the adoption of Biofeed technology, tested by University of Kara and 100% subsidized in the control of fruit flies in mango production. Using contingent valuation method and data collected from 114 producers in Togo, we found that only 38% of respondents are ready to adopt the Biofeed technology if the subsidy is removed. Awareness and education levels are key determinants in adoption of non-subsidized Biofeed technology in fighting against fruit flies.
