Abstract: What are the ways in which know-how, knowledge and skills are transmitted on construction sites when learning masonry? That's the main question of this research. An attempt at an answer involves reviewing certain mechanisms for transmitting know-how and skills on construction sites that are more horizontal than vertical. Far from being a teacher, the trainer on site is more of a companion. The ethics of the profession occupy a central place on all other modalities based on professional didactics.
