Abstract:
This paper aims to identify and analyse the main obstacles hindering the transition of textile and apparel supply chains towards sustainability, while exploring the motivations to overcome them. Using a qualitative research methodology based on semi-structured interviews with 6 key informants from the textile and apparel industry in Morocco, this study seeks to understand the specific challenges and motivations of companies in this sector on their path to sustainability. The findings enhance our understanding of the complex dynamics within the industry, providing insights for guiding policies and practices aimed at promoting a more sustainable textile and apparel supply chain in Morocco.
