Abstract:
Julie Blanchin Fujita studied applied arts at secondary school in Nîmes, before continuing her training at the Université d'Arts Plastiques in Toulouse and the Haute École des Arts du Rhin (HEAR) in Strasbourg. She moved to Lyon in 2005, where she began working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, taking part in a number of projects as a documentary illustrator. These have taken her to Polynesia, Australia and South America, notably the Amazon and French Guiana. In 2008, she travelled to Tokyo. There, she met Issei Fujita and set up her studio in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, a popular and historic district that she still draws today. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
