Abstract:
This article explores the management of information asymmetry in large companies when collaborating with start-ups, a major challenge of open innovation. Using Bayer as an example, it demonstrates the effectiveness of a standardized management interface in overcoming information asymmetry. It draws on the concept of socio-materiality, combining technological, managerial, and organizational perspectives to analyze the role of technological platforms. The article offers strategies and practices for improving the dynamics of collaborative innovation.
