Abstract:
Remote work has seen significant growth since the health crisis and has become quite popular among employees. However, it has also drawn a number of criticisms related to increased work intensity or the heightened surveillance it can entail. Drawing on the French national survey, Sumer 2017, we run econometric analyzes on the health-promoting and health-damaging effects of remote work from an intersectional perspective, examining how these effects intersect with those of gender and social class among employees.
