Abstract:
Modern Era is characterized by globalization with numeous technical and technological changes which results in organizational need for adjustment of organizational structure and business culture. These changes conditioned the necessity of effective leadership in order to achieve the optimization of the organization's performance. Modern leadership styles emphasize that leadership is a two-way process in which leaders should be in the service of their followers. Leaders and followers are important parts of group that should work towards achieving a Str. 172 common goal. Satisfied and motivated followers are a prerequisite for improved organization work. This paper examines positive impact of leadership on organizational performance. By analyzing and comparing existing research on the relationship between leadership and the organization's performance, authors found that leadership is an important dimension and assumption of the competitive advantage of the organization. Effective leadership leads to greater performance of the organization. The paper can be used by researchers who intend to peform more detail study of the influence of leadership organizational performance.
