Abstract:
Engagement with nutritional apps is studied with a mixed-method approach: (1) a qualitative study (n=33) explores the link between affordances and several engagement types; (2) a survey (n=518) via regressions and fsQCA establishes combinations of affordances fulfilling psychological needs (autonomy, relatedness, competence) associated with engagement types and improved food behavior.
