Abstract: In the face of profound digital transformations redefining the healthcare landscape, artificial intelligence (AI) emerges as a strategic vector for enhancing hospital quality systems. This article adopts a conceptual and exploratory perspective to investigate the prerequisites for a responsible, sustainable integration of AI within the quality management frameworks of Moroccan public hospitals. Anchored in a critical review of contemporary scientific and institutional literature, and informed by an in-depth analysis of the national context, the study introduces a comprehensive strategic model structured around three foundational pillars: a phased and adaptive deployment methodology, the systematic reinforcement of technological infrastructure and human competencies, and the establishment of a robust ethical and governance architecture. The distinctiveness of this research lies in its framing of AI not solely as a tool for operational optimisation, but as a transformative force for managerial innovation aligned with the sustainable development imperatives of the healthcare sector. By proposing a pragmatic, contextually grounded, and ethically oriented roadmap, the article aspires to advance scholarly discourse and furnish policymakers with actionable insights to facilitate the successful deployment of AI in service of healthcare quality enhancement.
