Abstract: This study explores the power dynamics of a social and solidarity economy meta-organization (SSEMO) within a mesostrategic space. Using a three-dimensional perspective on power (power with, power over, and power to) this research highlights the strategic drivers mobilized by a SSEMO in shaping a transforming a meso-level space, while navigating the complex relationships between member organizations and external institutions. The case study of GeoDynamX, an interorganizational initiative aimed at digitizing water-related knowledge, illustrates the diversity of strategies adopted by a Quebec-based SSEMO over a fifteen-year period. Findings reveal that the SSEMO played a key role in institutionalizing the GeoDynamX initiative through differentiation channels within its meso space. This analysis contributes to understanding SSEMOs as sectoral architects capable of supporting or hindering their members' initiatives and offers a relevant framework for future research on power dynamics within transforming meso spaces.
