Abstract:
In today's extremely competitive business environment, modern technology touches on almost everything vital to an organization's presence in an industry. Successful management of technology as a sources of competitive advantage is an essential consequence for many organisations. It is necessary to understand, communicate and assimilate technology strategy with the business strategies in order to increase the performance of a business organisation. Stakeholder value not only affects the survival and development of enterprises, but determines the activities and effectiveness of enterprise's technology strategies. The purpose of this study is to examine the positive effects of strategic management of technology on stakeholder value. In this paper, the authors discuss the importance of strategic management of technology and stakeholder values through an in-depth review of literature. For the pilot study an online questionnaire was used to collect responses from the organisations which belong to several sectors. The findings of this study provide useful information for practitioners to understand the vital role strategic management of technology plays in simulating positive effects on stakeholder values.
