Abstract: The ultimate goal of economic policy is the well-being of the population. Referring to Nicholas Kaldor, the well-being of the population is to fight inflation, reduce unemployment, improve economic growth and balance the balance of payments. This work attempts to verify in the Congolese context the impact of economic policies on the well-being of the population. To achieve this, three (3) cyclical economic policies were used, namely monetary, budgetary and exchange rate policies. After econometric analysis using the ARDL model, the study came to the conclusion that the monetary policy implemented by the BCC does not achieve economic growth and improve the well-being of the population. As for budgetary policy and exchange rate policy, the analyses showed a positive but non-significant impact.
