Abstract:
Developing an aggregated model for the SNCF serves a dual purpose: forecasting key components of the SNCF's operating account over the short to medium term (1 to 5 years), and evaluating—for both the State and the SNCF—potential shifts in pricing policy and public intervention. The model was designed for use during the drafting of the State-SNCF contract. With some minor adjustments, it has been integrated into the comprehensive domestic transport model currently being developed by the Economic Analysis Department (SAE).
