Abstract: This study explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and blockchain technologies within supply chain management (SCM) and procurement, emphasizing their transformative potential, practical applications, and associated challenges. Utilizing a qualitative exploratory design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, focus groups, and document analysis. Thematic analysis indicated that AI improves procurement efficiency through predictive analytics, automation, and risk mitigation, whereas blockchain promotes transparency, trust, and traceability, facilitating ethical sourcing and sustainability. Despite these advantages, obstacles such as elevated costs, gaps in technical expertise, and organizational resistance impede wider adoption. The study highlights the combined effects of AI and blockchain, illustrating their capacity to enhance operational efficiency, refine decision-making, and promote collaboration within supply chain networks. Insights derived from comparative analysis and the associated policy implications highlight the necessity for regulatory frameworks, financial incentives, and workforce development to facilitate adoption. This study addresses existing knowledge gaps by presenting actionable recommendations for organizations and policymakers while laying the groundwork for additional empirical research on the long-term effects of AI and blockchain integration in supply chain management.
