Abstract:
Energy management and thermal comfort can be studied independently through measurements and simulations. By combining these two approaches, a theoretical model is developed to accurately reflect the thermal response of the real system. Then, it is possible to perform dynamic thermal simulations under different climatic constraints in order to analyze energy consumption and thermal comfort. This methodology is applied to an experimental facility, located on the central campus of UPEC. It has been conditioned by the interior with insulating materials and a south-facing window. The results show that it is possible to design a theoretical model of the experimental facility, based on the modal method, and predict its thermal behavior and consumption in the future. The modal model of the building will make it possible to carry out various studies of its thermal behavior and energy consumption under future climate scenarios.
