Abstract: In the era of the Anthropocene, there is a need for new tools, a new paradigm for thinking about a livable world, what needs to be protected, and how to care for ourselves. Theories of care invite us to examine our vulnerabilities and redefine the links between society and nature. Care brings a fresh perspective to the climate crisis and environmental risks; it renews the analysis of the agricultural transition by linking the food system and food democracy.
