Abstract:
Tourism is undergoing a transformation under pressure from multiple environmental changes. While some destinations remain very popular, overtourism is becoming less and less acceptable. Local decision-makers are forced to find alternatives and accompany restrictions on access to sites with alternative performance markers. Digital marketing and demarketing are tools that are well suited to this purpose.
