Abstract:
Contemporary organizations faced with accelerating innovation cycles and increasingly complex global value chains can find interesting insights in Perroux's concept of active unity. The active unit allows us to reconceptualize the organization not only as a static structure that makes optimal use of its resources in a predetermined environment, but rather as a center of dynamic forces capable of bringing about transformative change.
