Abstract:
The purpose of the project was to define, design, build and test a line of household products with a local identity from Santander that mixes natural materials and a locally manufactured technology. The result was a line of lamps consisting of a table, a floor and a ceiling. Made of locally grown guayacán wood and leather, the base material of the Santandereana footwear and leather goods industry. The identity of Santander is present throughout the proposal, its forms were inspired by references such as the monument to the pegbox located in the park of the children of Bucaramanga, the graphic patterns inspired by the Guane pictograms and their materials, icons of the region. The technology involved in the development of the proposal was laser cutting, fast, economical and widely used in Bucaramanga for different applications, but mainly for the footwear industry.
