Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has been a source of major disruption for organizations and society. This dramatic situation urged the Information System (IS) community to further investigate how potentials of IS were used to cope with such shocks. In this paper, we respond to the recent calls in IS research for a better understanding of digital resilience (DR). The rapid and sporadic growth of knowledge on this emerging notion calls for a comprehensive review. Using a systematic literature review method, we aim to contribute to a clearer conceptualization of DR. First, we distinguish several levels of analysis on DR in the literature: resilience of the IS-user (RIU), resilience of the IT infrastructure (RITI) and resilience of wider systems (RWS). Second, different perspectives on DR are highlighted: resilience through digital and resilience to digital.
