Monitoring of Education Markets and Organizations (MEMO), 2021, issue 12, 1-5

Abstract: The paper is devoted to digitalization of vocational education and training providers. The analysis is based on the results of a qualitative study of the best digitalization practices conducted as part of the Monitoring of the Economics of Education in 2020.The presented data allow us to assess the scale and effectiveness of digital transformation in the most technologically advanced VET schools. Digitalization in professional educational organizations affected primarily administrative and managerial processes. The introduction of digital tools is accompanied with a lack of confidence in their reliability. As a result, the practice of doing “double work” - filling out digital and paper documentation - has become widespread. Digitalization raises the general awareness about the quality of education in VET. Thus, students, teachers, and managers can quickly take measures to improve it at the collective and individual levels. Digital tools help to reduce routine work of teachers related to the analysis of progress and use of tests.
