Abstract: The newsletter presents the results of a study on the success factors of entrepreneurial projects of students and graduates of leading Russian universities. The database of this study is the results of 42 semi-structured interviews and 4 focus groups conducted with students and graduates of entrepreneurship education programs and courses who have experience in launching their own entrepreneurial projects. The key areas of analysis were 4 types of capital that affect entrepreneurial success: social ties, financial indicators, knowledge and skills, personality traits. Among the important factors for success, respondents also noted the presence of entrepreneurs among close associates, as well as the presence of unsuccessful entrepreneurial experience. The analysis is based on the self-assessment of respondents (with more successful and less successful entrepreneurial experience) regarding the contribution of various factors to their entrepreneurial track. The main conclusions of the issue: - The results of the study showed that the most successful entrepreneurs often have the experience of developing several businesses. In addition, representatives of both groups (more successful and less successful) are characterized by having the experience of the first sale already in childhood. Thus, the hypothesis of the study was confirmed: the predisposition to entrepreneurship is formed from childhood. - Financial connections and the importance of the team proved to be a key indicator of success for the respondents. If we talk about the matrix of capital, then the greatest role in success is played by the personal traits of an entrepreneur – perseverance, faith in an entrepreneurial project, the ability to motivate other participants. The role of connections turned out to be important for the majority of respondents. At the same time, the factors of finance and skills are less important for an entrepreneur. However, when asked what was missing for a successful project, respondents highlight skills. - The main criterion for the success of the project for entrepreneurs was financial indicators, but they appeared along with the social importance of the project, with the solution of the consumer's request. - The most effective formats of entrepreneurship training are accelerator, pitch sessions, business meetings, mentoring support. All training formats are associated with communication practices, receiving feedback on the project. Such formats can be recommended for entrepreneurship training.
