On the biharmonicity of product maps

Abstract:

We introduce the warped product of maps defined between Riemannianwarped product spaces and we give necessary and sufficientconditions for warped product maps to be (bi)harmonic. We obtainthen some characterizations of nontrivial harmonic metrics andnonharmonic biharmonic metrics on warped product spaces.
