Almost 𠜶 -Hyponormal Operators with Weyl Spectrum of Area Zero

Abstract:

We define the class of almost 𠛼 -hyponormal operators and prove that for an operator 𠑇 in this class, ( 𠑇 ∗ 𠑇 ) 𠛼 − ( 𠑇 𠑇 ∗ ) 𠛼 is trace-class and its trace is zero when 𠛼 ∈ ( 0 , 1 ] and the area of the Weyl spectrum is zero.
