International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2012, vol. 2012, 1-9

Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to offer a generalization of the Philos and Staikos lemma. As a possible application of the lemma in the oscillation theory, we study the asymptotic properties and oscillation of the ð ‘› th order delay differential equations ( ð ¸ ) ( ð ‘Ÿ ( ð ‘¡ ) [ ð ‘¥ ( ð ‘› − 1 ) ( ð ‘¡ ) ] ð ›¾ ) î…ž + ð ‘ž ( ð ‘¡ ) ð ‘¥ ð ›¾ ( ð œ ( ð ‘¡ ) ) = 0 . The results obtained utilize also the comparison theorems.
