Journal of Mathematics, 2025, vol. 2025, 1-9

Abstract: This study investigates the oscillatory performance of solutions of the nonlinear delay differential equations aϕy y′κ′+b yβϱ=0. Most recent studies that have developed oscillation criteria for second-order equations consider only the case. The existence of ϕ increases the difficulty in obtaining the monotonic and asymptotic properties of the solutions and also increases the possibility of applying the results to a larger area of special cases. We extend the approach used in Koplatadze et al. (1999) as well as the Riccati approach to obtain new oscillation criteria for the studied equation. Our results take into account the effect of the delay function ϱ and can be applied to some cases that have not been studied before, which distinguishes them from previous results in the literature.
