Abstract:

We study the behaviour of the solutions of the following difference equation with the max operator: x n + 1 = max { 1 / x n , A x n − 1 } , n ∈ ℕ 0 , where parameter A ∈ ℠and initial values x − 1 and x 0 are nonzero real numbers. In the most of the cases we determine the behaviour of the solutions in the terms of the initial values x − 1 and x 0 and the parameter A .
