Abstract:
"In the IAB Establishment Panel, further training activities could be reported as the number of trained workers or the number of trainings provided. About 18 % of the surveyed establishments report the number of trainings. As these establishments differ in observable characteristics, exclusion of such establishments might bias results. This documentation provides an easy and effective tool to infer the number of trained workers from the number of trainings by building on an approach by Düll and Bellmann (1998). In order to make the method accessible for other researchers we discuss possibilities and limitations of this method and provide the stata code." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
