Abstract: "The use of active labour market policy measures is regularly subject to scrutiny. This study examines commonly used measures provided under Germany’s unemployment insurance system (Social Code Book III, SGB III). It focuses on trends in participation and on the effects of these measures on participants’ employment prospects. Finally, the study considers an instrument that, while still of limited quantitative importance, has attracted increasing attention in recent years: so-called partial qualifications."
