Abstract:
This paper aims to provide the aerospace industry located in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, a diagnosis on the efficiency of its human talent management strategies to recruit, select, and hire workers. The study uses a quantitative descriptive research. We examine various processes of recruitment and selection of personnel performed by eight companies that integrate the aerospace industry. Some theoretical approaches to the management of human talent are reviewed. Surveys were conducted of managers and employees of the companies studied. Strategies to recruit, select and hire workers, as well as strategies that need to be modified or substituted for improvement are also reviewed. We find no consensus on the number of companies that make up the aerospace industry in Mexicali. This is significant, considering that the aerospace industry has been established in Baja California for more than 40 years. Based on the results of this work, some final thoughts are presented.
