Abstract: In the search for better individual performance that supports the achievement of organizational goals, a diagnosis was made the Department of administration staff of an irrigation district in the city of Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico. The objective is to build strategies that align the behavior of workers for the purpose of the district. The level of individual performance was defined in percentages through the application of a questionnaire under Tomas Gilbert’s model published in 1978. The most significant results were related to deficiency in the clarity and understanding of goals and tasks that are not organized properly. We considered the working environment is not appropriate and stimulating for the achievement of goals. On the other hand, the response of workers does not affirm that the feedback provided is sufficient, timely, relevant, accurate, constructive or understandable. The conclusion emphasizes factors requiring priority attention are those related to the formal establishment of standards and goals as well as the deficiency observed in the area of working environment.
