Abstract: This research generates a diagnosis of the use of ICT in tourism companies in the city of Rosarito B.C., Mexico. The diagnosis identifies the use of ICTs in the areas of administration, marketing and customer relationship management (CRM). Were study subjects at restaurants and hotels. Surveys were applied to managers of these organizations. The main findings show low use of ICT in the areas analyzed, highlighting the lack of professionalization in the use of Information Technology as marketing tools, which are essential in the promotion of tourism companies. The diagnosis is made through the adoption of innovation index methodology, which measures the adoption rate of ICT. We conclude that a strategy is needed to encourage the use of ICT in tourism companies, because of the impact it would have on the development of the organization
