Abstract: Agriculture has been affected exponentially by globalization in their production processes. Technological advances have emerged to improve crops based on the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), more commonly called DRONES. DRONES provide a tool to improve production techniques. They support the management of cultivation, opening new opportunities in the framework of precision agriculture. The technology provides the farmer with a global view of his plot, helping him to identify which agricultural practices can expand planting density, what type of fertilizer to use and how often irrigation is necessary to improve crops, among other possibilities. By optimizing production mechanisms, the impact on the environment is minimized simultaneously. DRONES fly over fields quickly and capture diverse information thanks to their sensors. This information this allows managers to have at their disposal a tool that helps them control and increase productivity. A single DRONE can monitor hundreds of hectares accurately, evaluating the conditions of the land. DRONES collect information on hydration, temperature or rate of crop growth and premature identification of diseases. This information provides significant cost savings for farmers, prevents pests and helps reduce the amount of chemicals used on crops. The objective of this research is to generate strategies to determine the use of DRONES for Geodemographic monitoring in the agricultural sector in the Municipality of Ayapango, State of Mexico
